When Your Pet Eats Something Toxic

Many substances that are safe for humans are unsafe for pets. Household items, certain foods, and plants can all contain toxins. When your pet ingests something poisonous, please call us or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) emergency line at (888) 426-4435. For an accurate list of substances poisonous to pets and their level of toxicity, visit aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control. Again, please call us with any questions about emergency animal care at our hospital. We’re here to keep pets happy and healthy.
