Nadine Trowbridge, DVM Veterinarian

Dr. Nadine spent her childhood on the family farm near San Jose, Costa Rica, and it was the perfect environment to nurture her love for animals. Her parents made sure she was surrounded with all kinds of creatures, from cats and dogs to iguanas and exotic birds. Nadine’s parents also fostered her love for learning, making sure she had every opportunity to grow academically.

With her parents’ encouragement and help, Nadine graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Western Carolina University in 2010. She also became fluent in English, which advanced her corporate career in both the United States and Costa Rica. She led a highly successful strategic management product launching for a medical company and an international business plan for a prominent chocolaterie. During this time, Nadine also became an advocate for children with speech, occupational, and physical disabilities inspired by her personal experience with her own cousin’s disability. She continues her efforts to support organizations that promote education and work opportunities for the disabled in both the United States and Costa Rica.

Nadine returned to Costa Rica to pursue her passion for animal care and advocacy. There she completed her veterinary degree in 2016, graduating Valedictorian from Universidad Veritas, Escuela de Medicina y Cirugia Veterinaria San Francisco de Asis in San Jose, Costa Rica. After completing a nine-month neurology internship with NeuroVet, Nadine returned to the United States and worked as a veterinary technician at Tiger Tails Animal Hospital while also engaging in the rigorous process for professional veterinarian certification for international candidates. In May 2023, Nadine received her Educational Commission for Veterinary Graduates certification, and is loving practicing veterinary medicine with her incredible colleagues at Tiger Tails Animal Hospital. Nadine’s special interests include feline medicine and endoscopy. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association. Nadine is also proud to hold the Cat Friendly Veterinarian certification.

Nadine and Calvin’s home in Peachtree Corners is shared by three very special animals. Chloe is a gorgeous black cat hailing from Costa Rica, Coco is a tiny Chihuahua with a huge personality, and Guinness is a large, but very lovable Pit Bull. In her free time, Nadine loves to travel, cook and bake, sew and craft, read, and fish with Calvin.
