Kimberley Suh, DVM Veterinarian

Dr. Kimberley (“Kim”) Suh was deeply impressed one day by a movie scene where a lady doctor, perhaps in her early sixties, was flying a small private plane to get to a remote, distant place for an emergency treatment of severely injured animals, with her red muffler fluttering in the wind. Subsequently, she acquired both a private plane pilot license and a DVM. Primarily, though, what led Kim to pursue a veterinary career was her love for animals, as would be the case for all other vets.

The following verses of Emily Dickinson also have moved and influenced her greatly since her childhood: “If I can ease one life the aching,/ Or cool one pain,/ Or help one fainting robin/ Into his nest again,/ I shall not live in vain.” She is determined to treat every patient like her own pet and feels fulfilled to help keep four-legged family members healthy and happy.

Previously, she worked for Samsung Corp. Construction Division, supervising construction of commercial buildings as an architectural engineer prior to pursuing her career in veterinary medicine mainly in Massachusetts.

Kim moved to Georgia to live with her parents who had come over from Korea in 2015. She lives also with her rescued two-legged cat. This little pretty kitty cat gets a lot of attention from the family all the time. Kim’s hobbies include travel, movies and good food.

Kim received her DVM from Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea (2005) and finished the ECFVG (a 12-month clinical training for foreign veterinary graduates) course at Cornell University (2006-2007). Also, she acquired a cat & dog acupuncture license from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She currently is pursuing a canine rehabilitation certificate program.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Also, she belongs to the Veterinarian Association of Korea.
