Carole Amos, DVM Veterinarian

Born in Atlanta, the older of two girls, Carole describes herself as a first-born perfectionist. She studied speech communications at the University of Georgia and worked for Merrill Lynch as a stock broker after graduation. Eventually she would go on to open and manage the Alpharetta and Gainesville branches of Charles Schwab. During that time, Carole became a Certified Financial Planner.

As fate would have it, one of Carole’s clients was a veterinarian at Northeast Veterinary Hospital in Cornelia. One discussion led to another, and before long Carole relinquished her career in finance, became a veterinary technician assistant and pursued her life-long dream to become a veterinarian. She earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Georgia in 2010.

During her 12 years as a stock broker and financial planner, Carole began showing and breeding Golden Retrievers and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in her spare time. This experience led her to develop a keen interest in canine reproduction.

Upon graduation, Carole went to work at Hamby Road Animal Hospital in Alpharetta, which specializes in canine reproduction. She is thrilled to be part of the team at Tiger Tails Animal Hospital. Asked what she enjoys most about her veterinary career, Carole is quick to answer. She enjoys her clients and feels passionate about her role as an advocate for the animal.

For all her love of animals, Carole’s favorite role is that of mom. She and her husband Bob have two beautiful children, Allie and Grayson. In her spare time, Carole loves playing tennis, scrapbooking, showing dogs, and most of all spending time with her family.
