Kaala Rawlinson, DVM Veterinarian

Growing up, Dr. Kaala always knew that her passion was in in veterinary medicine and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She shadowed vets until she was old enough to obtain a job at an animal hospital where she worked as a kennel assistant.

She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. After graduation, she was hired at an animal emergency clinic. Her position quickly climbed and she was soon working overnights and weekends as a technician. In 2016, her life-long dream of attending the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine became true. In 2020, Dr. Kaala became a “Double Dawg”, having earned both an undergraduate degree and a degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Kaala was born and raised in Georgia. She is a die-hard UGA fan. On Saturdays during football season, you can be sure to find her wearing some sort of UGA apparel and cheering on her dawgs. Currently, she lives in Chamblee with her Australian Cattle Dog, Lily. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys spending quality time with her dog, being outdoors, traveling, watching college football and anything Harry Potter.

She has special interests in Internal Medicine, animal wellness and the human-animal bond.
